ICP Accommodation June 2-5

Lodging/Accommodation

OPTIONS

  1. Local Hotels. Forum participants are asked to register and pay online at the Holiday Inn  in Jackson for the number of nights they wish to stay. The Forum begins Tuesday morning June 2 at 9am, so participants should ideally book their stay at the hotel from Monday June 1 to Friday, June 5, or Saturday June 6th. Spring Arbor University has a special discounted lodging rate with the Holiday Inn. Participants will be given a code to obtain the discount when registering for the Forum. Please send an email to Dr Darrell Furgason at worldviewstudiescenter@gmail.com to register. Here is the link to the Holiday Inn.

It is recommended that participants might consider sharing a room with another participant to cut accommodation costs in half.

2.  Other hotels are available in Jackson, including a budget/value Holiday Inn  Please             check online…for example at  Booking.com

NB. At this stage, we will not be able to provide daily transportation from these various hotels to the campus for the Forum. Participants staying in hotels will have to pay for a taxi or Uber to the campus each day. Jackson is approximately  15 minutes away from the campus.

Meals

Participants will purchase lunch at the campus cafeteria. Those staying in local hotels are on their own for breakfast (usually included with your room) and dinner (there is a restaurant at the hotel and others close by the hotel).

Transportation

Participants are asked to purchase their return ticket to DETROIT, Michigan. The university is approximately 1 hour from there. Our hope is that a minibus becomes available for transportation to the university 1) on Monday night, June 1 around  7pm, and from the university to Detroit airport  2) Friday evening June 5 at 6pm, OR Saturday morning June 6 at 9am. If your flight arrival and departure times cannot be coordinated with the above times, we ask that you consider sharing the cost of an UBER ride with other participants who may have similar flight arrival and/or departure times. Another alternative is to rent a car and share the cost with other participants.

** We apologize that we do not have our own dedicated transportation at this time. We are certainly praying for God’s provision for these costs for this Forum! A minibus from Spring Arbor University might be available. Please pray that God opens that door! And if you feel led to help with some of these costs, we are very grateful.
